The "Bronzed Skin" Look

Summer is definitely over but who says you can't still have "sun-kissed" skin in the winter!

I was asked by one of my clients on how to create "glowy" or bronzed skin. I must say though, I am not a fan of the whole bronze-y look...actually I take that back, I am not a fan of the bronzed look when it looks "off" (basically when applied incorrectly). Not my favorite look at all.

For fairer skinned tones, using a bronzer is a great way to get a nice tanned look so you don't look too pale...looks best when used around the temples ,cheek bones, bridge of nose and jaw line. But for really dark skin tones, its best to just use it for highlighting. Some of my favorite bronzers are NARS Laguna and Casino Bronzers, Guerlain Terracota Bronzing Powder, Estee Lauder Bronze goddess Luminous Liquid Bronzer, MAC mineralize Skin Finish in Deep dark, IMAN Sheer Finish Bronzing Powder and Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder.

A while back I put together a photo shoot and one of my looks involved creating a bronzed look...Enjoy!

She had falsies on her top and bottom lid.
To get this bronzed look on her cheek, temple and jaw line, I used Format blush, MAC Sun Powder and MAC lustre drops bronze liquid.
